While in Bonaire we run group coaching weeks, and limited private lessons for groups and individuals.  Advanced booking is important so get in touch early to arrange your coaching with us.

The Conditions

The spot we sail in is situated on Lac Bay this is the South East side of the island of Bonaire.

Wind in the area at this time of year is a consistent breeze blowing from the sea anywhere from 15-25 knots. At the top of the bay there is a shallow and vibrant reef which stops all the waves, leaving Lac Bay with flat, warm and crystal clear shallow water.

A large part of the windsurfing area is standing depth from about thigh to chest depth allowing windsurfers to progress and gain confidence easily.

Equipment

Our hire centre in Lac Bay for 2024 is Frans Paradise.  They have expanded this year and we are very excited to join them for our next Bonaire groups.

For those looking to bring their own equipment please get in touch with us so we can advise you on how best to do this and what to bring.

Travel

To fly to Bonaire from Europe you have to go through Amsterdam Schiphol airport.  On arrival in Bonaire the island is small so wherever your accommodation is it won't be a long transfer from the airport.

Accommodation

There is a wide range of options to choose from to suit any budget or preference, from 5* hotels, rented apartments and villas to more basic or AirBnB or hostel accommodation.

Close to the windsurf centres options are limited. However, in town there are lots of options.

The Town and Other Activities

Situated 9km from Lac Bay, Kralendijk is the main town in Bonaire and where you go for shops, restaurants the majority of accommodation and other activities such as vehicle and bike rental, scuba diving or boat trips.

There is also a national park to the north of the island with some beautiful beaches and fantastic wildlife.
