A stunning flat water location with standing depth water for a huge amount of the area, Bonaire is the perfect winter destination and an amazing place to learn.  Whether you want to learn the harness, beach and water starts, or perfect planing out of gybes, jumps and freestyle tricks you don't want to miss out on this opportunity for an amazing windsurf holiday! We will be running intermediate and advanced courses:

GetWindsurfing Coaching.

Our 5-day courses are run with a day off midweek. This allows rest and recovery to avoid getting too tired throughout the week and gives you an opportunity to practice on your own.

Each day we usually have two sessions, with a break at lunchtime and video and picture feedback when appropriate in the evenings.

We usually work with you for about 5-6 hours each day, but feel free to do as much or as little as you like.

The Conditions.

The spot we sail in is called Sorobon situated on Lac Bay this is the South East side of the island of Bonaire.

Wind in the area at this time of year is a consistent breeze blowing from the sea anywhere from 15-25 knots. At the top of the bay there is a shallow and vibrant reef which stops all the waves, leaving Lac Bay with flat, warm and crystal clear shallow water.

Most of the windsurfing area is standing depth from about thigh to chest depth allowing windsurfers to progress and gain confidence easily.

Equipment.

The Jibe City centre in Bonaire has a big selection of the Severne Sails and boards from Severne, Fanatic, F2, JP & RRD to suit all levels of windsurfer and different wind conditions.

For those looking to bring their own equipment please get in touch with us so we can advise you on how best to do this and what to bring.

Travel.

To fly to Bonaire from Europe you have to go through Amsterdam Schiphol airport.  On arrival in Bonaire the island is small so wherever your accommodation is it won't be a long transfer from the airport.

Accommodation.

There is a wide range of options to choose from to suit any budget or preference, from 5* hotels, rented apartments and villas to more basic or AirBnB or hostel accommodation.

Close to the windsurf centres options are limited. However, in town there are lots of options.

The Town and Other Activities.

Situated 9km from Lac Bay, Kralendijk is the main town in Bonaire and where you go for shops, restaurants the majority of accommodation and other activities such as vehicle and bike rental, scuba diving or boat trips.

There is also a national park to the north of the island with some beautiful beaches and fantastic wildlife.
