The Conditions
The spot we sail in is situated on Lac Bay this is the South East side of the island of Bonaire.
Wind in the area at this time of year is a consistent breeze blowing from the sea anywhere from 15-25 knots. At the top of the bay there is a shallow and vibrant reef which stops all the waves, leaving Lac Bay with flat, warm and crystal clear shallow water.
Most of the windsurfing area is standing depth from about thigh to chest depth allowing windsurfers to progress and gain confidence easily.
Equipment
The Jibe City centre in Bonaire has a big selection of the Severne Sails and boards from Severne, Duo Tone, Starboard, Fanatic, F2, JP & RRD to suit all levels of windsurfer and different wind conditions. If you are looking to hire we will organise for you so just send us your dates and we can book you in. JIbe City are very flexible with your holiday allowing days off and payment when you leave, a fantastic family run centre working to ensure you have a great windsurf holiday.
For those looking to bring their own equipment please get in touch with us so we can advise you on how best to do this and what to bring.
